UPSC CDS I Exam 2025 Online Form
1. Educational Qualification
Indian Military Academy (IMA):
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
Indian Naval Academy (INA):
- Engineering Degree from a recognized university/institution.
Air Force Academy (AFA):
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Officers’ Training Academy (OTA):
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
2. Age Limit
IMA:
- Born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2005.
INA:
- Born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2005.
AFA:
- Born between 2nd January 2002 and 1st January 2005.
- Upper age limit: 26 years for candidates holding a valid and current commercial pilot license issued by DGCA (India).
OTA:
- Born between 2nd January 2001 and 1st January 2005 (for men and women).
3. Marital Status
IMA, INA, and AFA:
- Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
OTA (Men):
- Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
OTA (Women):
- Unmarried women, widows who have not remarried, and divorcees (with legal proof of divorce and not remarried).
4. Nationality
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Bhutan or Nepal, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries intending to permanently settle in India.
5. Physical Standards
- Candidates must meet the physical fitness criteria as specified by UPSC.
- Candidates should be free from any physical disabilities or chronic illnesses.
6. Additional Requirements for AFA:
- Vision standards: Minimum visual acuity without glasses is 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other.

UPSC CDS I Exam 2025 Online Form
Fill in the required details:
- Name (as per matriculation certificate).
- Date of Birth.
- Email ID and Mobile Number.
- Verify your email and mobile through the OTP sent.
- Set up a secure password for your account.
- Submit the registration form to generate your OTR ID and password.
Step 2: Login to Apply
- Go to the UPSC website and log in using your OTR ID and password.
- Click on “Apply Online” under the recruitment tab.
- Select “Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination I 2025” from the list of active applications.
Step 3: Fill the Application Form
Part I – Basic Details:
- Personal details (name, father’s name, date of birth, etc.).
- Educational qualifications.
- Post preferences: Choose IMA, INA, AFA, or OTA as per your eligibility.
Part II – Upload Documents:
- Scanned passport-sized photograph (JPEG, 20-300 KB).
- Scanned signature (JPEG, 20-300 KB).
- Scanned photo ID proof (PDF, 20-300 KB).
Provide your communication address and contact information.
Step 4: Payment of Application Fee
Application Fee Details:
- General/OBC: ₹200/-
- SC/ST/Female: Exempted.
Payment Options:
- Online: Debit card, credit card, or net banking.
- Offline: Generate a challan and pay at any SBI branch.
After payment, save the transaction receipt for future reference.
Step 5: Review and Submit
- Review all the details you entered:
- Check for spelling errors.
- Verify the uploaded documents.
- Click on “Preview” to see the entire application form.
- Once satisfied, click on “Submit” to finalize the application.
Step 6: Print the Application Form
- After submission, download the confirmation page.
- Take a printout of the application form and payment receipt.
